Day 3 - Hunger Cravings

Well day 1 and day 2 went alright.....except for these hunger cravings. Oprah always says that you need to ignore these cravings because it's your body burning the fat and using it up for energy.....so I choose to ignore eventhough they drive me nuts!

I am eating well though, having salads, fruit and making sure I have 2 proteins a day as well. I am also trying to drink a lot of water, but that's not as easy as I had hoped! I want to drink 8-10 glasses a day which equals to about 2.5 litres, but yesterday I only got through 6. I'll try harder today!

So now I just need some hunger craving ideas.....it's too bad I don't have any followers to help lol. A couple of my friends suggested that I brush my teeth more often....which is also good for my teeth, not just my weight! Another suggested that I make a veggie and chicken soup and just keep a pot of it in the fridge ready to heat at any time. I know broccoli is good for you and was thinking of keeping some in the fridge to munch on, but I think soon enough I'd be sick of that. I suppose I could try carrot sticks for now, and maybe celery sticks too.

Anyway, I will need to brainstorm some more ideas. Oh I just thought of one, maybe some diet jell-o (jelly for the Aussies and Brits) in the fridge for when I need a snack. Hmmmm....the possibilities.....

Day 1

Wow those goals look quite ambitious to me! I think that's something I have been lacking due to my weight...ambition. I just feel so heavy all the time and it makes me not want to get up and do things or do something worthwhile with my life. I feel tired and lacking energy everyday, all the time. I really hope with eating better and losing this weight it will all change.

I have a skinny friend who weighs about 60kgs/121lbs and she can't understand why I cant just get up and go all the time. I'm not just being lazy, I physically CAN'T! Just to go up the stair in my house without using the railing makes my legs hurt! She has the energy of a 2 year old and I really envy that. *cheers* to energy/ambition/motivation! Let's hope I can build mine up!

Anyway, I have done well today, on Day 1. I have been following my food plan but have yet to do some exercise. I think I'll just go for a walk around the block....and maybe will just do that for the first few weeks. I have a heel spur on my left foot and don't want to aggravate it. OMG heel spurs really hurt! I think the best exercises for me would be non weight bearing, so i don't bugger up my foot anymore. I really want to join a gym and use a recumbent bike, and walk around in the pool for some resistance training....but funds are low so we'll see!

1 month (May 12th 2010) -
lose 6 kgs/12.2 lbs

2 months (June 12th 2010) -
lose another 6 kgs/12.2 lbs for a total of 12 kgs/26 lbs

3 months (July 12th 2010) -
lose another 6 kgs/12.2 lbs for a total of 18 kgs/40 lbs

4 months (August 12th 2010) -
lose 5 kgs/10.1 lbs for a total of 23 kgs/50 lbs

5 months (September 9th 2010/daughters bday) -
lose 4 kgs/9 lbs for a total of 27 kgs/59 lbs

6 months (October 12th 2010) -
lose another 4 kgs /9 lbs for a total of 31 kgs/68 lbs

7 months (November 12th 2010) -
lose another 4 kgs/9 lbs for a total of 35 kgs/77 lbs

8 months (December 12th 2010) -
lose another 4 kgs/9 lbs for a total of 39 kgs/86 lbs

8 1/2 months (New Years Day 2011) -
lose 2 kgs/4.5 lbs for a total of 41 kgs/88 lbs

9 months (January 12th 2011/Day my parents come to visit) -
lose 2 kgs/4.5 lbs for a total of 42 kgs/92.5 lbs!!!!

11 months (March 12th 2011) -
lose 4 kgs/ 9 lbs for a total of 46 kgs/101.5 lbs!!!!

12 1/2 months (April 28th 2011/My 35th Bday) -
lose 4 kgs/9 lbs for a total of 50 kgs/110.5!!!!

13 1/2 months (May 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/7 lbs for a total of 53 kgs/117.5 lbs!!!!

14 1/2 months (June 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/7 lbs for a total of 56 kgs/124.5 lbs!!!!

15 1/2 months (July 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/7 lbs for a total of 59 kgs/131.5 lbs!!!!

16 1/2 months (August 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/7 lbs for a total of 62 kgs/138.5 lbs!!!!

17 1/2 months (September 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/ 7 lbs for a total of 65 kgs/145.5 lbs!!!!

18 1/2 months (October 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/7 lbs for a total of 68 kgs/ 152.5 lbs!!!!

19 1/2 months (November 28th 2011) -
lose 3 kgs/7 lbs for a total of 71 kgs/159.5 lbs!!!!

20 1/2 months (NEW YEARS DAY 2012) - lose another 3 kgs/7 lbs for a GRAND TOTAL of
74 kgs / 166.5 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as clothing sizes go, if I can go down one size every 2 months, that would be GREAT! Ultimately, at the end of it all, I would like to be about a size 10/12....we'll see!

Motivators

Well I didn't make it back here yesterday as my brother-in-law was up from Wollongong for linner. Linner is lunch/dinner in case you don't know. My husband made a yummy pork roast and potatoes/veggies. The wine he bought was pretty god awful though - I really don't like those cheap ones!!

Anyway, I am going to write down some motivators for myself. Y'know, reasons why I want/need to lose the weight.....

- To lessen my migraines! (I'm pretty certain they are mostly brought on by hormones due to the extra weight I carry)
- Have more energy (for myself, my kids and my husband)
- Better the circulation in my legs (have been having probs for about a year now)
- To fit into nicer clothes (I'm tired of not having a *style* and only wearing things because they fit, not because I love them!)
- To lessen the stress on my heart (I am an apple shape, which everyone says is bad for the heart and other organs)
- Detoxify my liver (have fatty liver)
- To help with my social anxiety (I am always feeling self-conscious and bad about myself when around people or out in public)
- Better sex life! (it's alright but I want to be able to do more hehe)
- To just feel better, emotionally, physically, etc.


These are all really important to me and I will continue to read them over and over again. I feel if I keep reading them, they'll stay in my mind every time I want to pick up a bag of chips, or a chocolate bar, or a mac n cheese box!

Tomorrow I will jot down all my goals because well, I need to lose A LOT of weight. I think smaller reachable goals would be better for me to strive for than one big end goal right now.
